Keonjhar: Following an NGT order, a mega hot mixer plant being set up at Bayapanda near NH-49 in Keonjhar was removed.
Reports said, Mont Carlo, a construction company, has been carrying out the four-laning work of the NH-49. The company was setting up the plant on a forest land under the revenue department, without official permission.
Local people had opposed it and moved the eastern bench of NGT in Kolkata against the project.
The NGT had admitted the case-38/2018.
A division bench comprising Justice SP Wangdi and Dr Nagin Nanda heard the case and directed the administration to remove the plants from the revenue forest land within a month.
Abiding by the NGT order, Bansapal tehsilar had asked Monte Carlo January 2019 to dismantle its plant from the land.
The firm authorities have intimated the tehsil administration that its plant has been shifted from the place. Odia daily Dharitri had first carried a report about the plant.
