Bhubaneswar, Feb 28: NISER scripted an emphatic 109-run victory over IMMT in a Group-B tie of the EPL cricket tournament here Saturday. Opting to bat first NISER notched up 199 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 30 overs with Vijay Singh (72) and Shrikant Sethi (55) hitting half centuries. U Balaji (3/36) bowled well for IMMT.
In reply, IMMT were never in the chase and lost wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for 90 runs in 16.4 overs. Purna Chandra Sahu (2/2) and Pranay Sahu (2/2) shared four wickets among them.
