Bhubaneswar: Amid the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border standoff and activities stepped up by the neighbouring Andhra government to woo residents of villages bordering Odisha, the state Revenue Minister Sudam Marndi said Tuesday afternoon that there is no question of surrendering even an inch of Odisha’s land.

“We are providing all sorts of facilities to the villagers residing there. All government programmes and schemes are being implemented there,” Marndi asserted.

“Such dispute usually occurs in the border area. But, Odisha government is all alert and there is no question of yielding even an inch of land to Andhra,” the Minister added.

Notably, the alleged transgression was recently observed at Sambai panchayat in Koraput district. Some inhabitants and local leaders in bordering villages of Andhra Pradesh have blocked the main road for the last seven days at Sunabeda village connecting Araku.
