Bhubaneswar, July 26: The state government Tuesday approved three investment proposals involving Rs 874 crore to create over 600 direct employment opportunities in the state.
This was revealed at a state-level single window clearance authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi here Tuesday.
Sources said the SLSWCA approved a proposal of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited for expansion of its non-alcoholic beverage plant at the industrial estate in Khurda which would help generate employment opportunities for 348 persons.
Likewise, a proposal of P&A Bottlers Pvt Ltd to set up 2.50-lakh hectoliters per annum capacity brewery at Balarampur tehsil of Odapada in Dhenkanal district with an investment of `102 crore has also been approved. This would generate jobs for 116 people.
The SLSWCA also approved a proposal of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited to set up a common user facility for storage of petroleum products at Dhutra in Jharsuguda with an investment of `272 crore. This unit would provide employment to around 166 persons
Padhi directed the departments concerned to facilitate setting up of these projects by expediting the procedures of various compliances. The chief secretary also directed all the collectors to conduct district level single window committee (DLSWC) meetings regularly and plan for development of industrial ventures, small & medium enterprises in their districts.
The progress of the projects under state projects monitoring group were also reviewed at the meeting. These projects included Gandhamardan-B mining project of OMC, Daitari Mining project of OMC, South Kaliapani Mining project of OMC, construction of 220-KV transmission line from Laxmipur to Damanjodi Aditya Almunium Project, approach road to RSB Transmission Pvt Ltd, establishment of railway siding in Jalpaposhi village of Keonjhar district by Bhusan Steel Ltd, construction of Orissa Power Generation Corporation ash pond in Jharsguda distruct, construction of railway corridor in Jharsguda Sundargarh districts, construction of flyover at Info-valley and Khandagiri crossings in Bhubaneswar, widening of road from Mendhasala to Sea Food park at Deras, development of aluminum park at Angul among others.
