Norms for transfer of Plus III students

Bhubaneswar: New set of guidelines for transfer of degree college students from one college to another has been issued for the academic session 2017-18.
State higher education joint secretary Parameswaran B has directed all principals of degree colleges including autonomous and self-financing colleges to follow the new instructions. Since the admissions into Plus III first, second and final year classes under project Student Academic Management System (SAMS) is over for 2017-18 session, there will be no further extension of timeline, the instructions.
“There will be no transfer after admission in Plus III 1st, 2nd and 5th year classes except under special circumstances such as transfer of parents, retirement, death of parents, marriage of girl student and medical grounds,” Parameswaran said.
For transfer on medical grounds, the students have to submit a medical certificate that must be signed by the authority not below the rank of chief district medical officer (CDMO).
For transfer under other cases, the students have to take approval from the concerned university, if the both the colleges (outgoing and accepting college) come under one university.
