Strong winds brought down a large iron hoarding structure near the Durga Puja mandap at Old Station Bazaar in Bhubaneswar, damaging a car and a motorcycle parked beneath it. No casualties were reported in the incident. A resident said the structure had been installed about 10 days earlier as a temporary fixture.

In Cuttack, a hoarding at Satichaura Chhak, already in a precarious state, collapsed and came to rest against a coconut tree.
