Bhubaneswar/London: In a landmark development for Indo-UK economic relations, Odia investor and entrepreneurs Biswanath Patnaik and Arun Kar recently met with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, along with his core committee members, for a high-level investors dinner meeting in London. The meeting marked a significant step towards fostering collaboration and investment between the UK and Odisha, as the duo outlined their ambitious plans for socio-economic development in the UK and their home state.
Patnaik is the chairman and mentor and Kar is the managing director of Finnest Group of Companies, a private equity investment firm operating under the BNP Group umbrella. Their venture, Finnest Group, has gained international recognition, gracing the cover of Forbes magazine in March 2023, attesting to their commitment to excellence and innovation. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak commended the vision and dedication of Patnaik and Kar, assuring them of the UK government’s support and cooperation.
