Kendrapara: A minor girl from Ghosaramal village near Nikirai in this district, who had gone missing six months ago, was found dead in Hyderabad Monday.
According to the case diary, the girl had gone missing since January 18 this year. Her family members had lodged a complaint with the Nikirai police stating that a local Dilip Sethi and his brother had abducted her.
However, the police have failed to arrest the kidnappers and trace the whereabouts of the girl.
However, the girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Hyderabad Monday. The matter came to the fore when the Hyderabad police informed the Nikirai police about the incident.
The family members were told that the girl had hanged herself.
However, the family members alleged that she had been abducted, raped and later murdered by Dilip.
Meanwhile, the accused youth has been detained by Hyderabad Medchal police.
