69th National Film Awards: Odia movie ‘Pratikshya’ bags Silver Lotus

New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar: Anupam Patnaik Tuesday received the National Award as his directorial Pratikshya was adjudged the Best Odia Film at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony in New Delhi.

He took home a Rajat Kamal (Silver Lotus) and cash prize of Rs 1,00,000. Expressing his happiness, the Gangs of Puri director told media that his father Amiya Patnaik had also received the National Film award for his first film.

Produced by Amiya Patnaik Productions, the movie is based on a Odia short story. Significantly, the President conferred the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award to veteran actress Waheeda Rehman on the occasion.
