Bhubaneswar: The state government Saturday announced a monthly incentive of Rs 20,000 for postgraduate-qualified dentists serving under the Odisha Medical Services (Dental) Cadre, an official notification said.
The incentive, effective from August 29, will be available to dental surgeons working under the Health and Family Welfare Department who hold postgraduate qualifications from medical colleges recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling said the incentive would encourage postgraduate dentists to continue serving in the government healthcare system.
