Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, Naveen Patnaik, Thursday extended greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday.
The governor hailed Modi’s 25 years of public service, while Majhi described the PM as a “fountain of inspiration”.
Majhi, before attending programmes to mark the occasion, said in a video message: “May Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath grant him a long, healthy life and immense strength for the service of the nation. Warmest birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
He came with a vision.

The chief minister said Modi’s “visionary leadership and unwavering affection” for the state continue to inspire people to build a strong, self-reliant and prosperous Odisha.
“We are forever grateful for his deep affection towards Odisha and its people, as well as his immense support for the state’s infrastructure development. On this memorable occasion, inspired by Modi ji’s welfare-oriented ideals, we are celebrating ‘Seva Sankalp Parv’,” Majhi said.
The chief minister later planted a tree on the Lok Seva Bhavan campus and also attended a blood donation camp organised by the youth wing of the BJP in Bhubaneswar.

“Today, in Bhubaneswar, I participated in the ‘My Contribution to Service’ (#SevaMeraYogdan) programme under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ and planted trees. To honour the birthday of Prime Minister @narendramodi and his grand 25-year uninterrupted journey of public service, this campaign has been auspiciously launched. Protecting nature and the environment is the true service to society.
“The small contributions of every citizen will play a key role in realising the resolve of ‘Developed India 2047’ and building a prosperous and empowered Odisha. Let us all come together, contribute through service, and transform this great campaign into a people’s mass movement,” Majhi said in a social media post.
Kambhampati, in his message, said Modi’s 25 years of public service mark a remarkable journey of dedication, commitment and service to the nation.
“From serving Gujarat to leading the nation, Narendra Modi’s journey reflects a steadfast commitment to development, good governance and the aspirations of the people. On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt wishes for his good health, long life and continued strength in the service of the nation. May his vision and leadership continue to contribute to a stronger, prosperous and Viksit Bharat,” he added.
