Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education Thrusday released the Phase-I SPOT admission results for the 2026-27 academic session, with 25,332 students securing seats in higher secondary institutions across Odisha.
According to the department, the latest round also accommodated 3,786 fresh applicants who were not allotted seats during the earlier admission phases.
Among the selected candidates, the Arts stream accounted for the highest number of admissions at 14,180, followed by Science with 7,226, Commerce with 2,601, Vocational with 1,068 and Sanskrit with 257.
Officials said 48,536 candidates were considered during the Phase-I SPOT selection. Of them, 25,332 received seat allotments, while 23,204 candidates were not selected. Following the completion of the first, second and SPOT admission rounds, 20,450 applicants are still awaiting admission.
The department further stated that 7,338 students were allotted seats in their first-choice college and preferred stream.
Candidates who have been selected have been asked to visit the SAMS portal to complete the admission process, including document verification, within the stipulated timeline. The schedule for the next phase of the e-admission process will be announced separately.
