Odisha runners-up in All-India T10 Cricket C’ship

Puri: The third All-India T10 Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, organised under the aegis of the T10 Tennis Ball Cricket Association of India with support from Odisha T10 Tennis Cricket Association and Shree Jagannath Darshan Charitable Trust, concluded Sunday at the Shree Jagannath Cricket Stadium in Puri. After Lucknow and Goa, Puri hosted the event, marking its third edition.

Dignitaries, including Puri MP Sambit Patra, BJP state vice president Golak Mohapatra and TBTCAI president Dayitapati Bhawani Prasad Dasmahapatra attended the closing ceremony.

In the women’s division, Jharkhand beat Goa, and Odisha defeated Uttar Pradesh in the semifinals to set up the final clash. Jharkhand scored 41 runs for five wickets, while Odisha managed 26 runs for eight wickets, securing Jharkhand the championship and Odisha the runners-up title. Jharkhand’s Bubbly was named both player of the match and series; Ankita won best bowler, and Odisha’s Sunita Das was awarded best batter.
