Raipur: The seventh day of the 9th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship 2019 (A Division) saw two ‘Pool D’ matches being played out which were won by Hockey Gangpur-Odisha and Sports Authority of India (SAI) respectively Friday.
In the first Pool D match of the day, Odisha defeated Rajasthan 4-2.
Goals for Odisha were scored by Rabi Bara (9′), Captain Ranjit Lakra (30′), Roshanjeet Minz (36′) and Sumit Barla (48′), while Sandeep Yadav (13′) and Pradeep Singh Nathawat (46′) scored in vain for Rajasthan.
In the other Pool D match, (SAI) registered a thumping 9-0 win over Manipur.
Sports Authority of India’s goals came through Arun Sahani (6′, 28′, 41′), Md Zaid Khan (7′, 15′, 59′), Deepak Minz (3′, 26′) and Suresh Mahato (35′).
