Odisha weather: IMD Bhubaneswar forecasts thundershowers, lightning in 13 districts

Odisha weather alert: Cuttack, Khurda, Puri among 18 districts likely to experience thunderstorm with lightning

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather update of July 13 issued Yellow Warning for several districts in Odisha.

Upto 8.30 AM of July 14: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Keonjhar,  and Mayurbhanj districts.

In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur in many places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Rayagada, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Puri and at a few places over the remaining districts of Odisha.

From 8.30 AM of July 14 to 8.30 AM of July 15: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Nuapada, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Sambalpur, Boudh, Deogarh and Keonjhar districts.

In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the remaining districts of the state.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with light rain is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 33 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius respectively.

In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 35.2 degree Celsius was recorded at Jharsuguda while the lowest minimum temperature of 22.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Phulbani, the bulletin informed.
