Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi welcomed newly appointed Governor Braj Mohan Ram upon his arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport Saturday.
Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy and Chief Secretary Anu Garg were among those who received him at the airport.
Ram, a senior BJP leader, was accorded a guard of honour.
He is scheduled to visit the Jagannath Temple in Puri Saturday evening to offer prayers.
Ram will take the oath of office at Raj Bhavan Sunday, with preparations underway for the swearing-in ceremony.
