Bhubaneswar: Odisha Badminton Association secretary Pradip Mohanty passed away in a city hospital here Monday early morning. He was 65. He was also the joint secretary of the Badminton Association of India (BAI). Mohanty, a resident of Kendujhar Colony in Cuttack, was suffering from kidney-related disease for past few days. Mohanty was surrounded by his wife Nilu and a few relatives when he breathed his last. His body was then taken to his Cuttack residence where several sports officials, sportspersons and fans were waiting to offer their condolences. He was cremated at Swargadwara in Puri.
