One dead, nine injured in two separate road mishaps in Odisha’s Bhadrak district

Bhadrak: Two separate road accidents in Odisha’s Bhadrak district Saturday claimed one life and injured nine persons, a source said.

According to the source, one accident took place near Bhandaripokhari tehsil office in the wee hours of the day when a car coming from Balasore collided with a speeding truck.

In this accident, one person died on the spot and four persons were injured. The four injured persons were admitted to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment.

In another mishap that took place near Tisalpur square under Bhadrak Rural police limits, a truck from Kolkata carrying chicks overturned after hitting a stationary truck on the road.

Five persons sitting inside the truck, who hailed from West Bengal, sustained serious injuries. They were first taken to Bhadrak DHH and later three of them were shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack as their condition deteriorated.
