Online option for filing grievances

Post News Network

Puri: The district police has launched a dedicated web portal to help people file their grievances online.
“Now, residents of the district can file their grievances online by visiting the citizens’ portal on the official website of Puri police. They have to submit their names and addresses while filing the grievances,” said superintendent of police Sarthak Sarangi.
Sarangi has also urged residents of the district to contact him directly through mail id sppuri16@gmail.com if they face any problem in any police station. “Identities of mail senders will remain confidential,” he said.
The inspectors in-charge of all police stations of the district have been provided with fixed mobile numbers, sources said. “Earlier, mobile numbers of IICs of police stations changed when there was a reshuffle in the officers’ cadre. Now the district SP and all IICs will have fixed mobile numbers,” Sarangi said.
The district police has also urged people to use social media such as Facebook to inform police officials concerned about their grievances or problems. “We have recently provided tablets to all IICs of the district. IICs have been asked to remain active on social media to learn about the problems faced by the people,” Sarangi said.
