Orissa eves thrash Maharashtra

Bhubaneswar, April 29:  Hockey Orissa spanked Hockey Maharashtra 5-0 in a Pool-A match of the Vth Senior Women’s National Hockey Championships (Div-A) at Saifai of Uttar Pradesh, Wednesday. Nilprojita Majhi, Dipti Lakra, Khusbu Kujur, Seema Lakra and Jira Ekka scored for the Orissa eves.

In another match, riding on a hat-trick by Lilima Minz (46^th, 51^st, 60^th minutes), Railways Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) routed Delhi Hockey 11-0. Among other Orissa players, Anupa Barla (18^th, 42^nd), Deep Grace Ekka (23^rd, 48^th) scored a brace each. The other scorers were Anuradha Devi (26^th, 37^th, 55^th) and Soundarya Yendala (32^nd) struck once.
