New Delhi: The Orissa government is all set to woo prospective global and domestic investors as well as visitors at the mega World Food India festival opening Friday on the lawns of the famous India Gate in the national capital.
On the eve of the mega event, artists were seen giving finishing touches to an eye-catching ‘ship-shaped’ pavilion that will showcase various farm and industrial products from the state.
The Orissa pavilion, crafted with a combination of flashing white and red, has special areas for one-to-one meetings, mega posters explaining the advantages of investing in Orissa and the kind of support the state government has been giving to the industrial sector.
Besides the main pavilion, Orissa has about 10 stalls within its premises to exhibit processed foods, sea foods, spices, processed agro food, processed fruits, essential oils, dairy products, etc.
Special sessions for interaction with global business leaders and delegates have been scheduled at Vigyan Bhavan to ensure direct communication among the different stakeholders of the food industry.
These sessions are likely to be attended by various Union Ministers like Nitin Gadkari, Arun Jaitley and Radha Mohan Singh of NITI Aayog. Orissa State Micro and Small Industries Minister Prafulla Samal and other business leaders from the state are expected to be present.
