Orissa to take part in Delhi World Food Fest

New Delhi: The Orissa government will showcase processed food products to woo foreign as well as domestic business delegates during the World Food Fest being held at New Delhi from November 3 to 5.

The state has decided to participate as a ‘Focus State’ at the fest. A delegation from the state is thinking of setting up its own pavilion with 12 stalls displaying the processed food products of the state like spices, cashew, confectionary items, processed agro food, seafood and others.

The Orissa Sea Food Exporters’ Association and the Directorate of Fisheries will showcase seafood products. Similarly, other departments and state business associations are likely to make their presence felt at the global event. The event is expected to draw around 2,000 participants. Around 50 global CEOs from 20 countries will be attending the event.
