Paradip: The sudden disappearance of a one-and-a-half-year-old boy from his house while he was asleep has sent shockwaves in Atharbanki Railway Colony here.
According to the child’s grandmother, Manjulata Nayak, she had put her grandson to sleep in a bed while his mother had gone to wash dishes. Later, Manjulata left the child sleeping and went to have some conversation with her son (the boy’s father).
She returned to take the baby but was shocked to find the child missing. Even after informing neighbours and searching everywhere in the locality, there was no trace of the boy. The boy’s father Rabindra Nayak lodged a complaint at Paradip police station.
He suspects that their son has been kidnapped by an old man who usually sits in front of a temple in their locality. The old man is nowhere to be seen since the boy’s disappearance.
