Parivartan Yatra: Saffron leaders appeal for change

Balasore: Launching a scathing attack on the state government, former MP and BJP vice president Baijayant Panda alleged that the BJD government has pushed back the development of the state afar in its 19-year rule while India is emerging stronger at global level under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre.

Panda was speaking at party’s ‘Paribartan Yatra’ at Bardhanpur panchayat under Remuna Assembly constituency in Balasore Tuesday.

“Corruption and irregularities by the BJD government has been growing while the culprits involved in atrocities against women are given shelter. Besides, the state lacks incentives and impetus to industry and labourers. It is high time the government changed,” Panda remarked.

He exhorted the party workers to vote for BJP candidates so that the party will provide a transparent and an efficient administration in the state as well as in the country.

Balasore BJP unit president Madanmohan Datt presided over the rally and called upon party workers to ensure win of the party nominees in all Assembly segments in the district.

BJP’s MP nominee and former Nilagiri MLA Pratap Chandra Sarangi slammed the state government saying a large number of Odia youths have been migrating to other states for manual labour, thanks to an inefficient state government.

“The development of the state has hit the rock bottom when education, healthcare, drinking water and others are in deplorable state. You vote for the BJP nominees to change the government,” he added.

BJP leader and actress Anu Choudhry appealed to the voters to change the government so as to ensure dignity and empowerment of women.
