Patient dies at Pipili hosptial, medical negligence alleged

Pipili: Family members alleged medical negligence over the death of a 40-year-old man at Pipili government hospital in Puri district Sunday night.

Policemen were deployed at the hospital to avoid any untoward incident.

According to reports, Gajendra Muduli of Nagpur village near Gop in Puri district fell ill Sunday night. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.

The family members alleged that Gajendra was not given proper medical attention as there was no doctor in the hospital at that time.

Later, a pharmacist at the hospital declared the patient dead, following which the family members created a ruckus at the hospital.

Former Pipili MLA Yudhistir Samantray reached the hospital and pacified the family members.
