Plaint filed against Anubhav, wife

Kendrapara: Bidhubhusan Mohapatra, an advocate, filed a complaint before the Election Observer of Kendrapara Parliamentary constituency, alleging that Barsha Priyadarshini jointly handed over the nomination papers of her husband Anubhav Mohanty April 9 to the Returning Officer.

In his complaint, Bidhubhusan asked in which capacity Barsha handed over the papers of her husband to the Returning Officer. Bidhubhusan said Barsha was neither a political agent nor a proposer of Anubhav and was also not a voter of Kendrapara Parliamentary constituency.

He said Kendrapara police had made tight security arrangements April 9. How can she enter the security zone and in which capacity did she hand over the nomination papers to the RO? Bidhubhusan asked.

He also asked how the RO can allow her to engage in this kind of act. Bidhubhusan requested the Election Observer to order an inquiry and take action against the candidate immediately. He also sent a complaint to the CEO of Odisha and the Chief Election Commissioner of India. The Election Observer assured that he would order an inquiry and will take action, the complainant said.
