Plus II examination: Smooth start to day one in city

Bhubaneswar, March 2: The higher education minister Pradeep Panigrahy and principal secretary Gagan Dhal have taken stock of the Plus II examination process and preparedness by colleges across the city Monday.
The examination that began Monday was held smoothly in the city, with the team comprising of Panigrahy, Dhal, and other officials visiting RD Women’s College, Maharishi College of Natural Law and Kamala Nehru Women’s College among others to inspect the arrangements. “About 1,758 students from our college and from the four tagged colleges appeared in the exam today. We haven’t received any complaints either from the students or from the invigilators. The higher education minister expressed his satisfaction on the arrangements for the examination here,” said Chitrangada Samantasinghar, principal of RD College.
“There were no instances of any complaints regarding out-of-syllabus questions, malpractice or any such thing. Everything went off smoothly, and both the students as well as staff are a satisfied lot after day one,” said Basant Sahu, principal of Maharishi College.
Chairman of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Basudev Chattoi also ensured the smooth conduct of the Plus II examination. “The first day of the examination in the capital region was conducted smoothly and no complaints have been received from any centre. The higher education minister has expressed his satisfaction over the preparedness of the colleges,” said Chattoi.
