Balasore: Mystery shrouded the death of a Plus III girl who was found hanging from a fan inside her hostel room at Nilagiri police limits are in Balasore district Friday noon.
Sources said, the deceased was a third year graduation student in Nilagiri Women’s College, a native of Basulidega area.
As usual, the girl had gone to college Friday morning. She returned to the hostel after her classes and locked herself inside the room after which she took the extreme step.
The matter to the fore after her friends returned and found the room closed. They broke open the door only to find her hanging from the ceiling fan.
While the exact reason behind taking such an extreme step is yet to be ascertained, cops of Nilagiri police station reached the spot and immediately launched a probe into the matter.
