Bhubaneswar: In a significant step towards strengthening railway infrastructure in Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate seven redeveloped railway stations across the state through video conference Friday, official sources said Thursday.

Balangir, Barpali, Paralakhemundi, Talcher, Kesin ga, Baripada and Bimalgarh stations are among 75 redeveloped railway stations across the country that will be unveiled by the Prime Minister, they said. The stations have been redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme, providing them with a modern and passenger-friendly makeover. “Redeveloped at a total cost of approximately Rs 109 crore, the stations reflect the Union government’s commitment to creating world-class railway infrastructure while preserving the unique cultural and architectural identity of each region,” the sources added.
