Bhubaneswar: The employees working under different franchises of electricity department have threatened to go for an indefinite cease-work strike from Monday.
Their demands include regularisation of employees who have completed 10 years of service before and after 2006, removal of franchises, enrollment under the Employees’ State Insurance and Employees’ Provident Fund schemes and a minimum salary of Rs 24,000.
The Odisha Power Employees Union officials said the protest will continue until their demands are not met.
