New Delhi: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP from Bargarh Prabhas Singh Tuesday sought details regarding the setting up of a urea unit in Bargarh district of Odisha.
In a written question to Union Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers, the BJD MP said, “Whether the Government has received proposals from the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and cooperative urea manufacturing companies regarding setting up of mega urea units in the country including Bargarh in Odisha?”
He further sought details relating to the proposals and queried whether the government has cleared the proposals.
Replying to the question, the Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Rao Inderjeet Singh, said that no such proposal relating to setting up of mega urea unit either in Bargarh or any other part of the country has been received by the ministry.
