Bhubaneswar, April 3: Pradip Patra of Orissa performed brilliantly to emerge as the ‘Strong Man of India’ in the dead lift event and overall second runner-up in the recently-concluded National Powerlifting Federation Cup at Kapurthala. The Orissa lifter won gold in the senior 66kg category.
Kartikeswar Jena also clinched the yellow metal in the (Masters-2) 83kg category. Basant Maleka bagged a bronze in the junior 53kg category. G Siba Rao won silver in the senior 66 kg category. The players were felicitated by the Utkal Karate School, upon their arrival here Friday.
