Priyanka Gandhi Vadra once more attacks Centre over J&K lockdown

New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked Friday the Narendra Modi government over alleged lockdown in Jammu and Kashmir for the last two months. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that the lockdown has affected children the most.

The Congress general secretary also tagged a media report on Twitter which claimed that children in Kashmir was forced away from schools and disconnected from friends.

The about two months ‘bandh’ in Jammu & Kashmir has impacted innocent children the most, Priyanka Gandhi said.

“Have you ever seen a government which talks about development but has kept children away from schools,” Priyanka said in a tweet in Hindi. “What kind of message the BJP government is giving to the coming generation of Kashmir,” she asked.

In another development the Army and police personnel launched a joint search operation in border areas of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district and recovered 17 hand grenades and Two AK-47 guns Friday, a senior police officer said.

A search operation was launched on specific information in Kharagali area of Loran border belt and a hideout was busted, the official informed.
