Professor Santosh Tripathy appointed VC of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal Thursday appointed noted educationist Santosh Kumar Tripathy as the new Vice-Chancellor of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore.

Tripathy has been appointed for a period of four years, which will take effect from the date he assumes office or until further orders, whichever is earlier, an official order issued by the Governor stated.

It is pertinent to mention here that Tripathy was earlier working as a professor at the Department of Personnel Management and Industrial Relations of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar. He has hands-on teaching experience of more than 30 years. The noted educationist has authored as well as edited around 13 books. Tripathy has also successfully guided 17 PhD and 40 MPhil scholars in their dissertations.

While studying at the Utkal University, Tripathy had received a Gold Medal for securing first position in PG examinations of 1984. The professor had bagged the NIPM Award in 1985 for his PG results. He also received the UGC research award during 2002 to 2005.
