Cuttack, Sept 3: Radha Raman Club thrashed Independent Club by 5-0 in a match of the FAO Ist Division Super League at the Barabati Stadium here Saturday.
Radha Raman started on an aggressive note and Janmo Xess opened the account in the 11th minute. Krishanu Das doubled the lead in the 28th minute. Janmo scored his second goal three minutes later and the team went into the lemon break with a 3-0 lead. After the change of ends, Moses (79th) and Kamo Bayi (81st) added to the tally.
In another match on the day, Mangala Club played out a 2-2 draw with Rising Student Club. Kuanwar Marandi (39th, 60th) scored for Rising Student, while Apul Charan Bhoi (70th) and Sachkanta Rout (85th) found the back of the net for Mangala.
Sunday’s matches: Kishore Club vs Sunrise Club; SAI-STC vs Sunshine Club.

SAI International School rode on a hat-trick by Archit Kumar to spank Times Gurkul 5-0 in a match of the Bhubaneswar Inter-School football tournament at the Unit-VI High School Ground in Bhubaneswar, Saturday. Paban Kumar and Dipak Sahu were the other scorers for the winning team.
In another match Stewart School scraped past Tapoban HS 4-3 via the tie-breaker. The match ended goalless in regulation time resulting in the shootout.
Football tourney
Unit-VI Athletic Association will organise the Jayant Mohapatra Memorial women’s one-day football tournament at the Unit-VI High School Ground, Sunday. Last year’s champions Urmila Football Academy, runners-up East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel and KIIT School will participate in this tournament.
