Angul: Two-year old Radharani Sahu who fell into a deep borewell and was rescued after a seven-hour operation by fire personnel at Golasar village under Kishorenagar block in this district was discharged from the district headquarters hospital after treatment.
Radharani, daughter of Sasmita and Santosh Sahu, slipped into the borewell while playing with her cousins Monday.
She was rushed to the hospital after her rescue. Doctors said her condition was stable and discharged her after conducting a check-up Wednesday.
The girl’s father while leaving for home thanked collector Anil Kumar Samal, SP Brijesh Kumar Ray, fire personnel, the police, media persons and locals for their support in giving a new lease of life to their daughter.
The collector wished the girl a bright future and praised her grit and perseverance during her ordeal inside the borewell. He also assured to include the name of the girl under the Biju Kanyaratna Yojana.
The girl was sent back home in an ambulance and was accompanied by her family members .The villagers welcomed her with some rituals. PNN
