Rameswar Sporting emerge champs

Bhubaneswar, Nov 22: Rameswar Sporting, Bhubaneswar emerged champions of the Sanjit Memorial cricket tournament after registering a comfortable six wickets victory over Friends Cricket Club, Chandikhol in the final here Sunday.

Opting to bat first, Friends scored a challenging total of 161 in 29.3 overs getting all out in the process. Swagat Das (46), and Lucky Das (38) were the main contributors with the bat. Paresh Patel, Priyatosh Paramanik, Deepak Majhi and Deepak Mangaraj bowled well to capture two wickets each.

In reply, Rameswar had no trouble in chasing down the victory as they knocked off the total in only 20.2 overs for the loss of four wickets. Priyabrata Pradhan (60 n o) and Paresh Patel (58) led the run chase with well made half centuries.

 SAI meet ODM in final

SAI International will meet ODM Public School in the final of the Bhubaneswar Athletic Association organised Inter-School Volleyball tournament.

In the first semifinal played here Sunday, SAI eked out a comfortable 2-0 victory over Kendriya Vidyalaya-II. In the second lop-sided semifinal, ODM blanked Gouri Sankar EM School 2-0.
