Balasore: Sanjay Kumar Raul, a painter from Nampo zone of Balasore, has demonstrated his artistic skills at a metal sculpture workshop held at Khodasinga near Berhampur in Ganjam district recently.
Raul built a massive statue of Lord Buddha using scrap material which attracted several art lovers at the workshop, organised jointly by Berhampur Municipal Corporation and ‘Imagery’. Artists and craftsmen from across the state who took part in the expo displayed their art work such as tigers, bulls, giraffe, turtles, eagle, peacock, crab and elephant.
The artifacts were made out of scrap. BMC commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore appreciated Sanjay’s artifact. Sanjay who is currently doing his masters in sculpture at Kolkata Art College has received several awards for his craftsmanship.
