Ravenshaw HSS tops list as Plus II first cut-off list released

Bhubaneswar: The first cut-off list for admissions to Plus II junior colleges across the state was published Friday morning. The School and Mass Education Department said the Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School in Cuttack topped the list with 88.83 per cent in the first cut off list, followed by JB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar with 88.33 percent.

Similarly, the Berhampur based Saraswati Vidya Mandir at Neelakanthanagar was the third most-sought-after college in the state with 88 per cent.

Students can log onto – www.samsodisha.gov.in – for details.

The first phase admission will be done between July 2 and July 5. The second merit list will be declared on July 10 and the admission will be done from July 11 to July 12.

The classes are slated to begin from July 24. As many as 5,90,363 students had appeared for the HSC Examinations (HSCE) at 2,818 exam centres between February 23 and March 8. The results of the Plus II were announced May 7.

A total of 376410 students had applied for admissions into +2 courses this year, out of which 341927 have been selected.

5 11-Jul-2018 to 12-Jul-2018 (05:00 pm) Admission of the students Selected in Second Selection
6 13-Jul-2018 (2:00 pm) Admission Data Updation of the student who took admission in the second selection by Higher Secondary Schools in the e-Space
7 16-Jul-2018 (11:00 am) Publication of the Spot Merit List three times to the balance sheet after second merit list admission
8 18-Jul-2018 (2:00 pm) Registration of students for spot admission in the respective Higher Secondary Schools
9 18-Jul-2018 (03:00 pm) Publication of final list of spot admission out of the students registered at respective Higher Secondary School
10 19-Jul-2018 to 21-Jul-2018 Admission of the students Selected in Spot Selection
11 23-Jul-2018 (05:00 pm) Admission Data Updation of the student who took admission in the spot selection by Higher Secondary Schools in the e-Space
12 24-Jul-2018 Classes start for the 1st year students
