Re-poll: BJD steps up mass contact holds with voters

Anandapur: As re-polling for booth-171 at Bholanuagan in Ghasipura Assembly constituency in Keonjhar is scheduled May 19, the BJD has been making all-out efforts to garner support of all voters in the village by holding hectic parleys. There are 738 voters in the village. The BJD has fielded Badrinarayan Patra as its nominee.

On the other hand, OPCC president and Congress nominee Niranjan Patnaik keeps on visiting the booths trying to woo voters to his side.

Notably, the State Election Commission had ordered re-polling due to alleged anomalies during the voting in the third phase.

Meanwhile, the administration has made elaborate arrangements for re-election in the booth. Apart from video recording, voting will take place under CCTV surveillance. Paramilitary forces will be deployed for peaceful and smooth re-polling.
