‘Revenge’ to hit theatres in August

As the title suggests upcoming bilingual (Oriya and Bengali) flick Revenge is all about revenge. However, the additional experimental feature of the film is autism. While Shah Rukh and Hrithik have proved their acting aptitude by essaying characters of autistic people, it is time to see how far Abhishek Rath, who is essaying the character of an autistic boy in the film, can do justice to the role. The film is directed by Ranjit Barik and Nimayee Ojha.

“Akash (played by Abhishek) is an autistic boy whose father is murdered in front of his eyes. Life rolls on and the protagonist, who usually plays with kids who are half his age, falls in love with a village girl played by Anubha Sourya. But he has another source of trauma. His elder brother too is killed by the same person who murdered his father. The autistic boy plans to avenge the murders and bring the wrongdoer to book,” intimated the directors about plot of the film.
Anubha, the leading lady, said: “This is my fourth movie in the Oriya film industry and I am very excited. I will be seen in a different role as a village girl in the film. It was an altogether new experience for me since I am a city girl and have never experienced rural life. I have worked really hard to go into the skin of the character.”
“Playing an autistic boy was a big challenge for me. I have high expectations from the flick. I am sure the audience will like my character and appreciate my work”, says Avishek.
