Chasing a victory target of 177 runs, Biswabharati were bundled out for 140 in 25.4 overs. Narendra Das hit a cameo (45, 27b, 2×4, 5×6) and was well supported by Rashmi Ranjan Rout (30, 38b, 2×4, 1×6). But then their efforts went to waste as Biplab (3/22) and Andrew Morgan (3/27) bowled well to restrict Biswabharati.
Earlier opting to bat first, Rising Students scored 176 runs in 27.4 overs getting all out in the process. Deepak Behera (56, 63b, 7×4, 1×6) and Haladhar Das (34, 2×4, 3×6) batted well for Students. Lagnajit Samal (3/28) and G Shankar Rao (3/42) bowled well for Viswabharati.
NALCO CMD Anshuman Das was present as chief guest and handed over the prizes. Rising Students received a cash award of Rs 30,000 along with the trophy. The runners-up team took home Rs 20,000 and a trophy.
Md. Jaffar Iqbal, who was member of the visually-impaired World Cup winning Indian cricket team was felicitated during the function.
