Ritu’s heroics go in vain

Cuttack, March 14: Pragati Nayak’s seven wicket haul overshadowed the all-round effort of Ritu Singh (94 runs, five wickets) as Bhadrak beat Koraput by 50 runs in the OCA Inter-District Women’s cricket tournament at the Sunshine Ground here Saturday.
Opting to bat first, Bhadrak were bundled out for 212 runs in 38 overs thanks to a five wicket haul by Ritu Singh. In reply, Koraput could manage only 162 runs. Pragati Nayak wreaked havoc by scalping seven wickets. Ritu fought a lone battle with the bat, but that was not enough for their victory.

(At Ravenshaw Ground): Sundargarh 263 (Priti Yadav 95) beat Boudh 110 (Priyanka Singh 53; Anjali Ekka 4/25) by 153 runs.
