Ranpur: In a tragic incident, a portion of the Government Girl’s High School at Ranpur in Nayagarh district collapsed Saturday morning.
However, nobody was hurt as almost all the students of the school were in their prayer classes at the time of the mishap.
The top floor of the school was built under the Works Department. According to reports, the mishap took place because of negligence from the contractor. The authorities accused the contractor for mismanagement in the absence of the Works Department.
With the school becoming totally unsafe, teachers and parents feel that the government is waiting for a major mishap to take place in order to initiate steps to begin repair work.
