Puri, Dec 21: The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration has sanctioned Rs 6.45 lakh aid for the infrastructure development of the goddess Badaraula temple at Badamulapatana in Nayagarh district, said Srimandir development administrator Maheswar Agasti Sunday. Traditionally, forest department employees offer puja to goddess Badaraula before collecting logs for the construction of chariots of the deities from Daspallah forest.
However, the Goddess Badaraula temple under Gania block has been suffering from shortage of infrastructure, including proper boundary wall, kitchen and pandal for offering of puja, sources said. The financial grant for the infrastructure development of the temple was sanctioned after the Nayagarh divisional forest officer raised the issue with the Srimandir administration.
