New Delhi: Discussions on Mahanadi water dispute in the Rajya Sabha were Wednesday disrupted due to frequent arguments over Triple Talaq Bill.
The BJD moved a Calling Attention Motion to raise the issue of Mahanadi water dispute. The Deputy Chairman of RS allowed the motion and asked party MP AU Singh Deo to start the debate. However, soon the issue of Triple Talaq rocked the House. Due to frequent arguments and counter-arguments on the issue of Triple Talaq among different parties, the debate could not start.
BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty said, “Our Calling Attention Motion should be taken up. It is important.” RS Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien said, “I am ready to take this up. But what can I do?”
