Bhubaneswar, Feb 4: Delhi Waveriders star drag- flicker Rupinder Pal Singh is aware of the fact that their opponents Kalinga Lancers are a very strong team. “They are a very formidable side. They have many experienced players who are the best in the business in the world. So we have to give our best,” Rupinder stated here Thursday.
But the well-built striker said they have chalked out various strategies and will try their best to execute them well.” “We will try to score early goals and put pressure on the Lancers. Our aim will be to play a positive and attacking game from the start,” informed Rupinder.
Talking about his rusty form in the last match against Punjab Warriors, Rupinder said, “It was a bad day for me and the opposition’s defence was also very good. But I will like to go all out and score in this game.”
Rupinder also said that Devinder Walmiki’s absence will put them in an advantageous position. “Walmiki is a pretty experienced player. So his absence will weaken their (Lancers) attack a bit,” asserted Rupinder. “However, it’s also sad that a player is out from HIL. Lancers have got a good replacement for him in MG Poonacha. So we cannot afford to take them lightly,” he concluded.
