Bhubaneswar: As per his announcement, Koraput MLA (Congress) Krushna Chandra Sagaria Tuesday formally submitted his resignation letter to the Assembly Speaker. However, he reiterated that he has not resigned from the Congress party. Sagaria, October 30, had announced his resignation from the post of Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) at a press conference here. “After making the announcement, I went to meet the Speaker but he wasn’t present then. The Speaker asked me to come November 6. So, I came here today and handed over my resignation letter to him,” the Congress MLA said. He said he has taken the decision because he has failed to give justice to the minor girl of Kunduli in Koraput who was allegedly gang-raped by four men in ‘camouflage combat uniform’.
