Mumbai: Actor Vivek Oberoi landed in controversy after he shared a controversial meme targeting Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan. After this tweet, not only netizens, but also the rank and file from the movie industry along with celebrities from across the country criticized Vivek.
Later though, Vivek apologised and deleted that tweet. According to reports, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has also served a notice on Vivek Oberoi seeking clarification.
Later, Vivek apologized for the post. When Salman Khan was asked to comment on the recent controversy, he too expressed his disappointment on this issue quite like other celebrities.
Currently busy promoting his forthcoming film ‘Bharat’, he claimed to be no longer active on Twitter as before. He added that he does not have the time to tweet or see others’ tweets. Besides, the ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’-star went on to add that he does not pay much attention to such tweets.
It may be mentioned here that both the actors were in headlines in connection with Aishwarya Rai back in 2003. Addressing a press conference, Vivek had made several allegations against Salman Khan.
