Salman Soz appointed as Vice Chairman of All India Professional Congress

New Delhi: Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi Friday approved the appointment of Salman Soz as Vice Chairman of the All India Professional Congress, in place of Milind Deora.

In a release, Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal said: “Sonia Gandhi has approved the proposal for the appointment of Soz as the Vice Chairman of AIPC in place of Deora.”

Rajiv Arora has also been appointed as the regional co-ordinator of AIPC’s west zone.

Earlier, both the posts were occupied by Deora, who had resigned from the party posts days after then Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has offered to step down ffrom the party’s top post taking the moral responsibility of party’s loss in 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Deora, earlier, also headed the Mumbai Congress.
